Warning - Do Not Buy Earth4Energy or Any Home Energy Guide Without Reading This Important Message First.

"90% of home energy guides online are a complete scam! They give poor instructions, vague information and do little more than leave you frustrated and confused."

Dear Concerned Energy Consumer,

I am glad you are reading this because if you're a home energy enthusiast like me then you have probably already noticed that there has been a surge of do-it-yourself home energy guides that have been released over the internet in the last year. So the big question is which one produces the best results? Is it Earth4Energy?

The truth is that you really can generate your own power very simply, and cheap I might add, and reduce or in many cases even eliminate your dependance on foriegn energy (a.k.a the big power companies) :)

In fact... if you create more energy than you use, your power company will actually pay you!

...And the best part is you can build your own solar panel or windmill system for less than $200!

You don't half to be a rocket scientist to make or build one of these either. As long as you can follow instructions, know the difference between a screwdriver and a hammer and have half the brain of a chimpanzee you can quite effortlessly assemble a quality system that will look like this one here.

"I'm ready to get started. So who has the best instructions to build one of these bad boys?"

I'm glad you asked! :)

Up until 2008, it could be quite costly to install solar powered systems or wind turbines in your home. The only real way to harness the potential power these systems can generate was to hire a contractor which could cost any where from $2,000 up to $20,000 depending on the size of your house and how elaborate of a system was being installed.

Admit-tingly, even at that price you could save 10's of thousands over the life of your home, but who has that kind of money just sitting around? Not me! And who wants to take out a sizable loan with a monthly payment that could easily equal the amount of an existing car payment just to install one of these things.

Any takers? I didn't think so...

Luckily, in the last year there have been quite a few do-it-yourself (DIY) home energy guides emerging online that can teach you how to make your own simple wind and solar powered energy systems like the ones above that can reduce your energy bills by as much as 80%.

Many of the better manuals come with step-by-step instructions, full blueprints and even video demonstrations on assembling and installing the systems.

Hi Michael,

I must say that you have really done a great job with your manual. I created my first power generating windmill over the weekend! I am actually writing to your right now on my laptop which is being powered by my windmill!! I'm going to add some extra batteries this weekend so that it lasts longer.

By the way, I managed to pickup 4 batteries for free like you told me ;)

Thanks buddy

"Still The Best Home Energy Guide in 2009"

Earth4Energy is by far the easiest-to-follow guide we came across. Our own experience says you should set aside at least 2 days to buy the parts and get it fully installed.

This is the only program that assumes absolutely no knowledge of wind and solar powered home energy systems.  It comes with a 73 page, fully illustrated guide that gives step by step instructions and a supplemental high quality video series to further illustrate the exact steps for building and installing your new energy systems.

Best of all, the materials required are readily available and cheap - we were able to access all the parts needed for $194.37. Given that its proven to decrease your electric bill by as much as 80%, you could well recoup your investment in less than a months time.

The Earth4Energy guide is suitable for any type of home and is aimed squarely at helping the complete 'novice' who just wants to save a few hundred bucks while helping to solve the worlds' environmental and energy crisis.  Best of all there is an unconditional 60 - day money back guarantee.  (not that you'll need it)

Update: There is now a promotion running on the site, and it is temporarily available for $49 instead of $89.95 - as such, we recommend ordering sooner rather than later.

The Verdict: Fast and easy setup; works for any home; proven energy savings of up to 80% - our top pick

Our second pick, Power4Home, follows the same basic guidelines as Earth4Energy - and again, we were impressed with the reduction in energy costs and affordability of materials required.

The guide itself is very clear and straight forward. Full pictures are inserted to make it easy to understand. However, things probably would have come together a little faster if the creator's of Power4Home had taken the extra step to provide video instruction like that found in Earth4Energy.

All in all, Power4Home does produce great results and is a guaranteed way to harness the kinetic powers of the wind and sun in order to power your home.  So why only four stars?

Well, perhaps we were spoiled by our top pick, but we found the directions a little harder to follow - and since ease of use is one of our key criteria, you can understand why we had to knock off a star.

Home Made Energy is our third and final pick, and it too focuses on creating renewable energy for home use through the installment of either wind, solar or both systems.

They report up to an 80% reduction in energy costs and the home made energy system has loads of case studies from people who have had great success using it.

The difference between this and the other two sites was simple, however - my support ticket was not responded to for several days when I had a question about the best place to position a solar panel. A full, hands-on support system is vital if a relative "novice" is to install either system, and here unfortunately it just wasn't there.
